This is Lillevenn, mother Biba (aka Scherzando Libra) and siblings soon after birth in May 2009. LV's pups look quite a bit porkier but they are two or three days old. Just found this picture of LV's first pup (either Monty or Owain who was born in the car) before his fur had dried. He looked like a tiny chocolate lab! Many thanks to Ash (just in the photo) who delivered all seven safely. Lillevenn's expression says it all!

6 months old!!
Grace is over 21 kgs now - as big as her mother and looks like she will soon overtake her. Shows interest in retrieving (of course!) and has her Foundation Behaviour Certificate. Six months old so on TWO meals a day.

And here is fluffy-eared Owain in Germany!

Daisy taking it easy.............
And Monty.........
(Just need one of Juno for the full set.)
Would recognise them anywhere - still beautiful pups.

11 weeks old (nearly)
Gracie had her first taste of the big outdoors today - met quite a few dogs of all shapes and sizes. Attended her first gundog class too - hmm... there's a lot to learn. Owain looks as though he is getting the hang of it - see new pictures below.

Gundog Training
I have just bought a DVD from Adrian and Christine Slater via the following link: http://www.kipperridge.co.uk/
It shows you how an 11 week old gundog puppy can be trained to do simple retrieves, walk to heel, sit and lie down and continues with training up to 6 months old. So far We have tried the techniques on Gracie (at 9 weeks) - easy peasy! I would recommend it to anyone who is not already an expert! Saves having to unteach your dog bad habits learnt through no fault of its own. Quite pricey (£37 incl postage) but worth it I think.

New beginnings....

Thanks to Will for putting this map together so that we can see at a glance where everyone is!
The pups have been in their new homes for two weeks or more - Owain had a marathon journey to Koln in Germany, Tess to Chepstow, Copper to the Vale of Evesham, Juno to Buckinghamshire, Monty to Oxted and Daisy just over the Thames to Essex. Here are what they are doing now....
Gracie keeping Mum company!
Copper - what a sweetie!

Daisy learning to sit..
Monty - still an angel?
